…Hybrid arch repair is a less-invasive technique for treating complex aortic problems to the aortic arch such as aortic aneurysms and aortic dissections.

The term hybrid refers to a combination of open surgical bypasses in association with thoracic endovascular repair.

This patient had a prior acute type A aortic dissection repair with an ascending aortic repair and many years later developed an aortic arch aneurysm with chronic dissection of the aortic arch.
